I Built This Because Nobody Built It for MeI am a first-generation Latina. The daughter of immigrants. The first in my family to graduate from college, the first to walk into a corporate office, and the first to have absolutely no idea what I was doing when I got there. Nobody taught me how to negotiate a salary. Nobody explained what an offer letter should actually include. Nobody told me I was allowed to ask questions during an interview, or that HR was supposed to protect me too. I learned everything the hard way: through mistakes, through silence, through being the only one in the room who looked like me and feeling like I could not afford to get it wrong. “I built Elevated HR to be the guidance I never had, and the resource I wish someone had handed me on day one.” After years in HR leadership across cannabis, healthcare, and corporate environments, I am currently pursuing my MBA and launched Elevated HR to serve two groups of people I care about deeply: small businesses that need real compliance support (not just a template), and first-gen professionals who deserve someone in their corner.
